Who Is Chris White?
I graduated from N.C. State University in 2014, with a B.S. in sport management and a journalism minor certification. Having been born and raised in the heart of North Carolina, I know the ins and outs about this state. I'm also a musician and have been playing clarinet for more than a decade, much of that time being spent as first chair clarinetist for an orchestra in my hometown. I'm also what I like to call a "professional dabbler" in photography - not quite a full blown professional but not a novice either - and have had the privilege of having my works on exhibit at the N.C. State Fair each year since 2009 to be seen by millions of visitors. A crowning achievement in my short time as a writer came when I was the only high school student in my local area to be recognized for my writing skill via an essay contest on the United Nations Law of the Sea Treaty in 2010. With that, I was provided the opportunity to travel to New York City and Washington, D.C. It was my first time ever traveling to New York City and I had the great honor of visiting United Nations headquarters as well as Capitol Hill in D.C., meeting several dignitaries along the way.

What Is Reflections?
My blog, Reflections, was started in 2008. To be honest, I didn't know what I was getting myself into at the time, I just knew I was an opinionated guy and needed a platform to publish my thoughts. It has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. Since its inception, the blog has garnered more than 97,000 views from more than 20 countries worldwide. You'll find a variety of posts on Reflections each week from serial posts such as "New Music Monday" and "My Friday Five" to film reviews and much more. The goal is to provide thought provoking content that will not only entertain but get conversations going.
